I have added the proxy IP and port number but I don't get prompted for my login details?

If you are not being prompted to enter your username and password we recommend that you try using the newest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer (recommended).  Firefox can be downloaded free from http://www.mozilla.com. We do not recommend using other browsers, such as MSN Explorer, Netscape, or AOL.

Other things that have affected customers from logging in are:

• Certain customised releases of Internet Explorer seem to ignore the proxy settings.
Popup blockers.
Proxy port number may be blocked please try all three ports that we supplied you with.
• Firewall.

 

If a pop-up blocker is installed on your computer, you should temporarily disable it while attempting to login to our proxy.

If a personal firewall is in use on your computer, you should temporarily disable it while attempting to login to our proxy.

Finally if you are a proxy server user and are unable to resolve this issue in your current location then you may wish to consider one of our VPN Solutions at http://www.ukproxyserver.co.uk/vpn-solutions which use a slightly different form of routing technology and may offer greater compatibility with your ISP and/or computer security settings.
