BBC iPlayer - Proxy Connectivity Issues & The Solution
Posted by Greg M on 14 May 2014 11:42 AM
This morning some of our UK Proxy subscribers reported intermittent connectivity issues to the new layout BBC iPlayer. Our network team is aware of the issue and is trying to pinpoint the source of the issue. Please note that only a small number of subscribers seem to have this issue.
In the meantime a permanent solution would be to setup a VPN connection. If you are a UK Proxy subscriber you do not need to switch products. All you need to do is setup the VPN and connect with your proxy username and password.
If you are a Windows user you can download and install our auto setup VPN software from this link –
If you are a Mac, Linux or mobile user then you can setup a VPN manually using these VPN addresses and following our setup guides:
VPN addresses to enter as the server IP:

L2TP VPN setup:
If you would like to book a free remote support session we can setup the VPN for you directly on your Mac or PC. Just get in touch via our helpdesk or email us.
