This problem can occur when using Firefox as your browser as for some reason it will let you stream TV shows but will not allow you to download them. We suggest that you add the proxy login details to Internet Explorer which should let you download the program without any issues. The benefit of downloading is that you can watch them any time you wish locally on your computer, so there will be no buffering at all.

Finally if BBC iPlayer is important for you then you may wish to consider one of our VPN Solutions at http://www.ukproxyserver.co.uk/vpn-solutions which use a slightly different form of routing technology to proxy and will offer greater compatibility for you with their streaming and download services without having to use Internet Explorer.
